Get your porch trick-or-treat ready! In this hands-on workshop, you’ll build a fall container that welcomes every little ghost, goblin, and superhero who comes up your steps. We’ll help you plan it to carry your porch from early October right through Halloween night. This workshop is beginner friendly, and costumes are optional.
What you’ll learn
- How to build a container with a tall showstopper, a full middle, and plants that spill over the edge.
- How to mix bright fall color with dark, moody foliage for a little spooky flair.
- How to work in pumpkins, stakes, and other fun add-ins for a Halloween-ready porch.
- Tricks (and a few treats) for anchoring tall grasses and creating a focal point.
- Simple care tips to keep your container looking sharp until the last trick-or-treater heads home.

When: Sunday, October 4, 2:00 to 3:30 pm
Where: Inside the Garden Center at our seminar table
Cost: $25 per seat, paid in person at the Garden Center
Seats: Limited to 12 guests

What to bring: Your own gloves and spade if you’d like. They’re not required, and we’ll have some available to purchase.
