Garden Center Cashier

With over 700 acres in nursery production, our team cultivates, maintains, and installs the largest selection of homegrown trees, shrubs, perennials, and annuals throughout the Metro. Regardless of project scale, our professional Landscape Design and Construction teams have both the ability and passion to turn your ideas into your ideal outdoor space. Lanoha is an industry leader with nearly 50 years serving our community. We are seeking career-minded individuals to join our team.

Lanoha Nurseries is preparing for a busy spring and summer season and will be adding day shift, evening shift, and weekend shift cashiers to the team. The ideal candidate is customer service oriented, a great team player, and ready and willing to work in a busy garden center.  On the job training provided.

Requirements

• Experience as a cashier is beneficial, but not required.  On the job training provided. 
• Experience in customer service oriented employment or volunteer positions is a PLUS! 
• Must be a self-motivated team player with excellent interpersonal skills
• Flexible with schedule; ability to work evening and weekends
• Time-management skills and ability to multi-task in a busy environment
• Experience using a multi line phone system is a PLUS!

Responsibilities

• Process checkout and/or return transactions, using cash and point of sale credit card system
• Greet customers, team members, and visitors in a friendly and professional manner
• Phone traffic support for customer inquiries 
• Provide superior and professional customer service to customers and visitors
• Anticipate customer inquiries and route inquiries to team member & plant care knowledge experts
• Assist with merchandise displays and stocking shelves 
• Collaborate with warehouse team to help customers with loading bulk and heavy items 
• Cleaning, stocking, organizing
