We are seeking a creative, detail-oriented Lead Merchandiser to join our team and take ownership of display execution throughout the garden center. This role will lead the visual presentation of plants, pottery, and seasonal décor ensuring that displays are both compelling and easy for customers to shop. The ideal candidate is hands-on, organized, and passionate about design and horticulture. The merchandiser will assist our buyers with planning and developing the merchandising strategy for the Garden Center.

Requirements

• Must be self-motivated, customer-focused with excellent customer service skills
• Strong design sensibility and a passion for plants and outdoor living.
• Creative, energetic, enjoys people, and a strong attention to detail
• Self-motivated, organized, and able to manage multiple projects at once.
• Ability to work well under pressure and maintain a positive attitude
• Ability to thrive in a high-stress fast-paced work environment
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work on your feet in varying weather conditions.

Responsibilities

• Plan, build, and maintain high-impact displays across all areas of the garden center. 
• Assist the buyers with planning and executive of merchandising strategy 
• Monitor and rotate displays to ensure freshness, cleanliness, and sell-through. 
• Notify buyers of low product levels or trending merchandise 
• Coordinate with staff to assist with floor, shelves, and product cleanliness 
• Use signage, props, and creative layouts to tell product stories and drive sales.
