Lanoha Nurseries, Inc is proud to provide top-of-the-line equipment and a great mechanical team to keep our front-line construction and landscaping teams moving. This position is a great opportunity for a mechanic who likes to work on varieties of equipment and work with the varieties of landscaping and construction industry tradesmen that this position supports.
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a professional mechanic position
- Proficient knowledge of 4-cycle v-twin and single cylinders engines as well as 2-cycle power equipment
- Proficient knowledge of electrical systems and hydraulic drive systems found in outdoor power equipment
- Ability to work outside for job sire repairs in 4 seasons of NE weather conditions
- Ability to with a team mentality
- Ability to multitask, reprioritize, and apply urgency where need most
- Safe listing techniques and use of lifting support resources
- Safety ambassador for mechanic shop and equipment responsible for maintaining
- Possession of own hand tools and tool storage – basic mechanic hand tools
- Driver’s license
Responsibilities
- Mechanic maintenance and repair of multiple types of equipment including outdoor power tools, commercial mowers and utility vehicles
- Diagnostics and repairs for varieties of commercial mowers
- Diagnostics and repairs on outdoor equipment including chainsaws, demo saws, cut off saws, weed eaters, hedge trimmers, leaf blowers, and air compressors
- Diagnostic and repairs on UTVs and golf carts
- Mechanic shop work and job-site repairs
- Team mentality – cross collaboration and prioritization and divisional leadership
- Safe operation of shop equipment and tools; overall safety awareness for self and team
- Inventory and equipment check out process support for tools, parts and equipment
- Campus fuel station assistance for employees and fuel deliveries
