Lanoha Nurseries is expanding the team to include a Purchasing & Inventory Coordinator to support the Commercial Landscape Design & Construction Teams.  This position will assist the Purchasing & Logistics Manager with selecting and purchasing quality plants and hardscape materials to create beautiful outdoor spaces for our local client businesses and support the internal inventory processes for the nursery.

Requirements

  • Basic knowledge of – or interest in plant and hardscape materials
  • Ability to work in an outside nursery & warehouse setting in midwest weather conditions
  • Experience navigating company inventory control and inventory protocols 
  • Organizational skills, attention to detail, and ability to multitask and prioritize 
  • Creative problem solving; ability re-prioritize and exceed goals  
  • Computer skills:  Microsoft Excel spreadsheet proficiency.  Ability to learn and navigate multiple vendor sites and internal accounting systems & applications  
  • Excellent and efficient verbal and written communication skills on behalf of the company to internal team members, clients, and vendors

Responsibilities

  • Researching & purchasing of quality products within defined ranges; price and quality comparisons 
  • Vendor relations; maintain positive relationships with vendors and suppliers 
  • Inventory control support; contribute to selecting high quality and fair priced products 
  • Shipment & delivery support; assist with deliveries and accounting for products in all NE climate conditions 
  • Purchase order, work order, and invoice creation 
  • Combination of office work and outside work in midwest climate conditions 
  • Collaboration with internal teams to prepare upcoming job site orders
